Source- Business Upside
The initials SYNCB/PPC stand for Synchrony Bank/PayPal Credit, which may show up on your credit record. PayPal Credit is a credit line that it provides; it was formerly known as Bill Me Later. Synchrony Bank acquired PayPal Credit in 2018. From that point on, Synchrony Bank was in charge of all PayPal Credit accounts, Bill Me Later accounts, and unpaid debt owed by PayPal account holders. Put another way, Synchrony Bank is now the recipient of any unpaid debt on your PayPal Credit or Bill Me Later accounts.
Why Does Your Credit Report Include Your PayPal Credit Account?
Prior to being acquired by Synchrony Bank, PayPal Credit was owned by PayPal Holdings. Your credit line was considered a "hidden tradeline" by PayPal Holdings. It means that because the business did not submit any account activity to the credit bureaus, the information was not included in your credit reports. Subsequently, PayPal Credit was bought by Synchrony Bank. The bank may then notify credit reporting bureaus about the use of your PayPal Credit account. A new SYNCB/PPC line may have appeared on your credit record recently as a result of PayPal account holders being reported.
