When are the best days to fly? It's believed that there's only one day a week when you can locate cheap airfares, and that day is Tuesday. This legend, like many good legends, contains aspects of truth. But that's not the whole story.
The truth is that flight prices fluctuate on a daily and hourly basis in response to demand. Airlines, like grocery stores, do not refill their inventory on the same day each week, thus waiting until Tuesdays does not yield any discounts. If you're willing to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday when demand is lower than usual, you might find some tiny savings.
