The Duchess of Sussex and the newly crowned Princess of Wales were both present to pay tribute to the late queen and to stand by their husbands, Prince William and Prince Harry, as they grieved the demise of their granny.

Kate accessorized her black coatdress with the queen’s diamond and pearl leaf brooch. The court Jeweller called attention to the jewelry and recognized it as something Her Majesty had worn in 1999. Besides paying tribute to the monarch, Kate carried a pair of pearl drop earrings that belonged to Princess Diana, her late mother-in-law.
