Global warming is defined as an increase in the average air temperature near the earth's surface during the last century or two. Since the mid-twentieth century, climate scientists have collected data based on observations of various weather-related events. The information gathered indicates that the earth's climate has changed.
What are we doing about it?
To address the growing public concern about climate change and global warming, the World Meteorological Organisation, UNEP, or United Nations Environment Programme, established the IPCC, or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, in 1988.
