Texting Yourself Well, it might not be a novel ability for iMessage, but the feature is brand new for WhatsApp. The app now has a direct way to text your own number. Until now, the only way to text yourself in WhatsApp was to create a group and remove all other members. But that is somewhat weird and not a direct self-communication either.
