The primary explanation is that they need to address a few security flaws that they found. Players are therefore requested to refrain from playing till the fixing is completed.

The game took years to develop, but the wait was worthwhile. In 2020, this video game was released. Despite a number of problems and glitches when the game first launched, players began to love it.
Over time, the open-world game modifying tools were made available by CD Projekt RED. This led to the rise of numerous online modders. However, as was already noted, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 recently tweeted and admonished players to quit hacking the game. The developers of the games have discovered that modifying the official Cyberpunk 2077 PC version exposes security holes that could let hackers utilize the external DLL files that players use to run code on the computer.
