Source- Business Upside
The largest global chain of ice cream specialty stores, Baskin Robbins was established in Glendale, California, in 1945. It still upholds the ideals of the ice cream shops in the neighborhood. The ice cream shops owned by brothers-in-law Burton Baskin and Irvine Robbins were combined to create the Baskin-Robbins brand, which was perfect for ice cream shops that cater to families.
Six stores were initially located around Southern California. After that, the business began to hire managers to inject personality and ownership interest into each store. With the purchase of its first dairy manufacturing facility in Burbank, California, in 1949, the brand's growth narrative officially got underway.
